I know. And I am all right still, it was just surreal reading all of that.

Of course, I can only imagine how strange that must have been... I'm glad you're doing okay though, even after all that.

[He squeezes Wesker's shoulder briefly.]

You really are doing well lately. I'm really happy to see it.

[If you'd received either of these any earlier, he doubts you would've been okay, honestly...]

...I'm doing what I can. It's still incredibly difficult, but it hasn't seemed quite as insurmountable lately.

I'm really happy to hear that. I know things are going to be difficult, and they might not get any easier, but I think it's a good thing that you're able to handle them a bit better.

I know you'll always find a way to make it through because you aren't the sort to give up, no matter what you face. But even so... the strength to keep pushing forward really is admirable.

[That gets a quiet noise out of him.]

I still say that I don't have much choice.

[He squeezes Wesker's shoulder again before letting go.]

...Yes, of course.

[He'll get up easily enough; after a moment's deliberation he'll bring that photograph over to the couch with him, though he'll set it down on one of the end tables. He still doesn't know what to make of it, honestly, and if he decides he wants to show Jaeger in a moment then he will.

As it stands, though, he'll come settle in his usual spot, and while he still seems a little awkward he doesn't seem particularly badly-off despite the notes.]

[He'll join Wesker easily, settling in closely and reaching out for Wesker's hand without thinking. He's noticed the photograph, but he doesn't mention it; if Wesker wants to show him, he will.]

[...well, okay, it really isn't because Wesker's kind of made of rocks, but it's the thought that counts!!]

[He'll let Jaeger take his hand without protest, okay.]

[It's made him really happy, okay...]

[It's an observation, but there's nothing judging behind it.]

Of course! I promise I'm not this bad at work, though!

[He laughs but he's really not much better...]

[He squeezes Wesker's hand at that.]

I don't mind it for now, at any rate; it's good to see you happy. I know the past while has been hard on you.

[He still doesn't like admitting it, but he's certainly not going to lie or try to brush it off.]

I really am happy now. I'm so excited it's even a bit difficult to sleep!

I'm sure it will settle eventually, but I'm not going to stop you from enjoying it while it lasts.

Good, I'm glad! You always do such a good job of putting up with me when I get overly emotional like this, usually it's just not in this direction!

[That gets him to laugh and he squeezes Wesker's hand again.]

[He'll shift a little to nuzzle up against Jaeger at that, even if the gesture is a bit awkward, as it generally tends to be.]

[He'll return it immediately, of course! The awkwardness is always fine, it's endearing!]
