Anyway... The evening is actually pretty okay outside tonight, it's been warming up and it isn't frigid put when they finally do leave. Wesker doesn't have a particular location in mind, but he does seem to be paying attention to their surroundings.]

...Sometimes I wonder what you would think of my memories that aren't abjectly terrible. I used these sorts of powers to get into a plane that was taking off once.

[It's one of the more surreal ones, as memories go, just because he was also poisoned out of his mind, but still.]

[They're amazing and he's absolutely jealous.]

I mostly used them for combat purposes. But I did enjoy them quite a bit, even so.

...I still don't entirely understand why some of us would attempt the large transformations, especially if there wasn't a guarantee that it would go well. [birkin.] But if the feeling of power that comes with it is at all the same, I suppose I can see it.

I think I can understand that too, though obviously I'm looking at it from an outsider's perspective. Still, the things you're capable of... well, they're amazing! Having power like that really would be incredible. Not that I'm condoning the massive transformations, but I can see where it might be a good idea in the heat of the moment.

[If what Birkin turned into was any indication, it's actually a terrible fucking idea?? Goddamn.]

[He has no idea why Birkin's came out like that, honestly; he knows it was due to a different virus than his own, but...god, nothing about the thing Birkin ended up as was okay.]

I suppose if one has access to something powerful like that, it would be pointless not to do so; besides, it feels good to use the powers the viruses give you. Or at least, it does to me, and most people that have them seem to enjoy themselves on some level or another. I know Sergei did, and so did that woman I've told you about - her name was Alexia. If it's involuntary, things tend to go a bit differently, obviously; I've actually never seen a case of involuntary infection go well, now that I think about it.

Viruses don't think, as far as anyone can tell, and even if they did they have very little reason to care about what their host thinks of them. Just the same, involuntary infections never go well; voluntary ones tend to work out, for a given degree of "working out."

That honestly wouldn't surprise me at all. Your world was a very different place, so that sort of thing could have been possible, ja?

[It sounds sort of stupid, yeah, but it would make sense... Well, some sense, at least. The entire thing is still kind of ridiculous in general.]

That sounds difficult, but you were working on it for a long time, weren't you?

...I believe so, yes. I'm not sure how long it was, exactly, but I get the feeling it had been in development for at least as long as I knew Excella, which I believe was a few years.

[It's decidedly easier to discuss Excella nowadays, thankfully.]

Perhaps that's what you were doing all that time, then. It's certainly a possibility, isn't it?

Possibly... Granted, with a project that large, I can see where it would have taken some time regardless of what I was doing with it.

Ja, that's true! It certainly does sound like it would have taken quite a long time to get the results you were looking for.

[He just offers a quiet assenting noise at that for a moment, keeping his gaze high toward the buildings nearby.]

I know I've only really experienced things like that in memories, but it's...good, to not want that now.

It was consuming back then; I didn't have anything or anyone else. I have so much more now; I'm grateful for it.

[He pauses for a moment before tipping his head toward one of the office buildings nearby; it should be unoccupied for the most part at this time of evening, and the view of downtown should be good from up top.]

[He stops when Wesker does and follow his gaze upward, grinning.]

[He'll move closer so you can pick him up too. C'mon, this looks fun!!]

[Yes, of course... He'll make sure there's no one immediately present before picking Jaeger up easily and setting off; as always, there's a lot of speed involved, but the jump up seems easy enough when he does it - the same sort of process as last time, finding something lower to launch off of and get them up onto the roof.

When he lands, it's hard, but at least it's not, like. Concrete-breaking. Just very heavy-sounding, because he's not particularly made for clean, pretty landings unless he's really trying for one.]

[As long as we're both fine and he doesn't have to worry about whether that landing broke your legs or anything it's good! Who cares if the landing isn't the prettiest thing in the world?]

This really is a lot of fun! Thank you for taking me up here!

[The view's wonderful too, but mostly he's just happy he has an excuse to be this close to Wesker.]
