Back then I was about as fearless as I am now, if not a bit moreso, but I was actually not the most reckless person in my memories, if you can believe that.

I'm honestly not sure. Most likely either the gentleman who felt the need to let himself be swallowed by some sort of virus-enhanced carnivorous plant so he could transform into a sixty-foot-tall monstrosity, or the one who faked his death in a plane crash by legitimately crashing a plane. ...That latter one was Krauser; I'm not sure who the first one was.

[RIP, sole person named Javier in Brazil.]

...Some mention should probably be given to Birkin, who felt the need to try that mutation I told you about on an exploding train, and Chris, who knew about my powers and yet his default reaction was consistently to try to punch me in the face barehanded.

A fair amount of them were, but a few went above and beyond the call of either duty or necessity.

I wouldn't say that I was one of the least insane people there by a long shot. But in hindsight, everyone else's behavior explains a fair amount, I believe.

My entire world was something of an exercise in why common sense is a severely undervalued trait in people.

I don't know if I'd say I appreciate it more now, because it was all varying degrees of terrible and I acknowledge that much readily.

I do want it to be restored eventually, however.

I wouldn't want to go back to it, even if restoration is successful. But I do like the idea of knowing it's there.

I think I understand. I wouldn't want to go back to my world either; I'm far too attached to my life here! But it certainly would be nice for our worlds to exist again, ja?
