his grip tightens a bit so he won't just straight-up drop you on impact but otherwise down we go and god he finds breaking the descent up like that to be more trouble than it's worth when he can just do it all in one go and be fine and it's probably a bit rough on your end

Most likely either the gentleman who felt the need to let himself be swallowed by some sort of virus-enhanced carnivorous plant so he could transform into a sixty-foot-tall monstrosity, or the one who faked his death in a plane crash by legitimately crashing a plane. ...That latter one was Krauser; I'm not sure who the first one was.

...Some mention should probably be given to Birkin, who felt the need to try that mutation I told you about on an exploding train, and Chris, who knew about my powers and yet his default reaction was consistently to try to punch me in the face barehanded.

I wouldn't say that I was one of the least insane people there by a long shot. But in hindsight, everyone else's behavior explains a fair amount, I believe.
