I told you once about that woman that I was with for a while, back then. The one with the red hair, from eastern Europe - the relationship was a good one, but it ended poorly.

[He pauses for a moment; he hasn't really told this part to anyone but Shuji, but...]

The relationship ended because she was pregnant. She wanted to keep the child, I didn't. We fought over it, and parted ways shortly after.

She's another one I've been thinking about recently. What happened to her, whether anything ever came of that.

[Well he certainly won't complain about that! Jaeger moves closer immediately, tipping his head a bit into the hair-playing. He'll also shut up for once and just enjoy it; this really is nice and he always enjoys little moments like these.]

[...good to see that his observations from christmas hold true, and the most surefire way to get you to quiet down and not say anything is to pet you for a while...

that said, though, he'll release jaeger's hand in favor of pulling him close and holding him properly; he'll keep running his other hand through jaeger's hair, though, he knows better than to stop with that. he isn't nuzzling or anything, but his grip is fairly tight and he's seeming highly content with all of this, just relaxing a little as he does it and finally seeming to settle a bit more than he has been tonight.]

Jaeger's quick to settle against Wesker, leaning back into the hair-playing once he's settled. He's noticed that Wesker's settled a bit more, but he doesn't comment on it. It's nice that this can get Wesker to relax too.

He'll remain quiet for only a little while longer before speaking up.]

[Ah... That gets him to hesitate a bit, though it's hard to say if it's just due to the unexpected contact or what; either way, he'll return the nuzzling eventually, though it's far more awkward on his end.]

He falls quiet once that's out there, though, just focusing on playing with Jaeger's hair; the topic isn't altogether unpleasant, it's just striking him oddly. Give him a moment to shake it off, it's fine.]

He certainly never thought he'd wind up in a relationship where he'd open himself up this much to anyone ever again, but he's not complaining about that either. He really does love Wesker, even if it's difficult for him to say it right now. As long as it's obvious, that's what matters.]

[And it is obvious, really; the nuzzling gets him to settle again, and after a while he'll return it, though the gesture is still something that he's unused to and it shows. He doesn't dislike it, though, it would be clear if he did; his grip is still tight against Jaeger's body, holding him close.

Most importantly, though, he doesn't want to let go; there are things he likely should be saying, but...well, he doesn't want to get into any of that, either. Not now, not really.]

[It really is nice to be held like this. He's missed it and now that he's experiencing it again, he doesn't ever want it to end. Of course, he doesn't want any of this to end, so he simply ignores that thought and nuzzles Wesker again.]

...I'm really happy things worked out like this, even if I never expected it. I know I've said that before, but I'll never get sick of saying it.
