[It really is nice to be held like this. He's missed it and now that he's experiencing it again, he doesn't ever want it to end. Of course, he doesn't want any of this to end, so he simply ignores that thought and nuzzles Wesker again.]

...I'm really happy things worked out like this, even if I never expected it. I know I've said that before, but I'll never get sick of saying it.

[He loves Wesker more than he can ever properly express.]

[Jaeger doesn't think anything of the hesitation, he just nuzzles Wesker before responding.]

That said, though, he'll let Jaeger settle again; the silence is nice, and not something he seems terribly inclined to break for a little while. But he will eventually, though it's quiet when he does.]

Jaeger laughs softly at that, nuzzling Wesker again and latching on a little tighter.]

I love hearing it. It's returned, of course - I adore you more than I could ever say.

[Even if he could get the words out properly. For now he'll just find ways to work around it, but someday he'll manage those three stupid little words.]

It really is such a stupid thing to be stuck on. You already know how much I care for you, it's just the words get stuck for some reason.

[He used to say it a lot, actually. Maybe that's why?]

Wanting or needing to say something, but it's almost as though there's something in your chest physically preventing you from doing it. It's not a matter of being contrary and refusing to force it, or not wanting it enough; it's simply something that can't be said. I know that sort of feeling well.

[And that's quiet, too; it's something he's said before, though he doesn't ever go into any sort of detail like that. But it feels important now, and he continues to play with Jaeger's hair gently, and his voice stays even as he speaks; it's a little blunted, but not overwhelmingly so.]

It's why I've never tried forcing the issue, or trying to make you say anything. It does seem to be getting easier for you to approach it, and that's been a good thing, I believe.

If you want me to do anything for you, I can. But I'm not opposed to being patient, either.

[Jaeger's quiet for a moment, just taking that in. It's really nice to hear something so reassuring.]

Thank you. I'm going to keep working at it and someday I will manage it. But until then, please keep being patient with me. You're right, it has been easier for me to approach it. I don't think you'll have to wait for much longer.

[The question is a fairly easy one, though, there's nothing pointed or harsh behind it.]

Mm, a bit. I used to have no trouble saying it. It just seems strange that I'd have problems with it now, when I'm fairly sure I've worked through most of my issues with what happened.

...It's usually stress-related, when things like that happen to me nowadays, but sometimes it doesn't make much sense like that. I can't say that I'm surprised to hear it, at any rate.

Well, it's something I'll keep working on. I really do want to be able to say it someday, even though you already know how I feel.
