I mean that I was brought back. There was some kind of magical device that was strapped to my chest that was able to do that.
[His left hand is resting against his chest and he draws his hand away immediately once he's aware of it. It's always been a gesture of his when he's being insincere, but right now it just feels wrong.]
I don't know - it was some sort of hideously mutated thing with shackles and chains on its wrists, and it wouldn't die no matter how many times I shot it. It would drop, on occasion, but it would always get back up and come after me again.
[...And he's...not going to mention his reaction to that, because that was a little "yikes" for completely different reasons.]
I felt as though I recognized it; I don't recall how or why, however.
I'm sure. I'm more asking through morbid curiosity, anyway.
[...Ah, speaking of.]
Although I am curious about physical changes that may ensue, after what you've told me. Either that, or any other potential "gifts" from Retrospec.
[I mean there's the guy with the demon arm and whatever the hell happened to Elda's eyes, he would not be surprised if you're gifted with some sort of magical...thingo eventually.]
At this rate, I'm expecting a gun eventually. I seemed quite partial to the one I was using to shoot the...that. Lisa.
[who the fuck fights abominations like that with a handgun, jesus christ.]
Unfortunately, I don't recall any other helpful details about the incident, other than that it happened, and perhaps that I spent entirely too much time in large mansions for some reason.
If it was a proper haunting, it wasn't a very thorough job - I killed her eventually, or at least I seemed content in the knowledge that she would die after what was done to her.
I wonder why she was in a mansion of all places... How did she turn into a monster in the first place? Let me know if you remember anything more about that, ja?
[...Yeah, all right, he can see where that sort of question is awkward now, goodness.]
I can't say for sure because I don't remember anything beyond what I've told you, but what happened to the old man was in a large, rather opulent space as well - I didn't see the rest of the building, but it seems to fit the assumption that I really needed to stop spending time in places like that.
Oh dear. You really do need to stop spending so much time in places like that! Of course it's only fitting that you have a large mansion now! Maybe this one won't have any deaths or monsters in it.
[...well, except your helldogs, but he's not actually going to say it.]

[He's taking it calmly enough, at any rate; he doesn't seem inclined to offer much commentary on it, but he clearly is listening.]
I'm not certain if that can be considered fortunate or not.

[He refills his glass with another sigh.]
I could have happily gone my whole life without seeing anything like that. What about you? Did you kill anyone else?
[He sounds so done.]
no subject
[...Yeah.]

[This sounds way better than his stupid memories.]

...I think its name was Lisa.

[Jaeger sighs loudly and props his chin on his hand.]
You really aren't lucky when it comes to these things, are you?
[You've already had two terrible memories, so what's next?]
no subject
[...You know, he hasn't even told you the weird one, and he fully intends to not fucking tell you the weird one.]
no subject
Apparently. What I wouldn't give for my life to go back to normal...
no subject
More or less.
[He pauses once that's out there, however; he isn't...entirely sure he wants to offer, but at the same time- ]
Do tell me if things continue to be strange like that...?
no subject
But then the moment's over and he's smiling and waving a hand as if to dismiss it.]
Oh come now, surely I won't have anything else quite like this! It's bad, ja, but it's not something that'll keep me down for long!
[...He's really bad at this but he appreciates the offer.]

I'd think you'd know by now besides, unless you're suggesting that I'm keeping them in the basement for some reason.
