[And true to his word, it'll take him twenty minutes to put himself together and arrive at Wesker's place with entirely too much alcohol. Knock, knock!!]
[AND THE DOGS GO WILD. jesus christ, he just got them to settle down...
They're enclosed, however, in a portion of the house that they won't be a problem, and they'll calm the hell down eventually, and thankfully he'll be taking Jaeger back somewhere that the overexcited canine insanity won't be distracting in the meantime; he seems mildly frustrated when he lets the man in, but it's more at the dogs than the person. Probably.
...That's a lot of alcohol.]
...It's just been that kind of month, has it.
[It's not precisely a question, despite the wording. Come on, we're pretentious rich people, into the study we go to get wasted like classy people.]
Severe enough for me to seek you out like this, ja?
[The forced cheerfulness doesn't last long, though.]
I was talking with a kid about death - specifically how strange it is for him to have experienced death and still be able to talk about it. I then had the experience of something eerily similar - waking up again after dying.
I mean that I was brought back. There was some kind of magical device that was strapped to my chest that was able to do that.
[His left hand is resting against his chest and he draws his hand away immediately once he's aware of it. It's always been a gesture of his when he's being insincere, but right now it just feels wrong.]
I don't know - it was some sort of hideously mutated thing with shackles and chains on its wrists, and it wouldn't die no matter how many times I shot it. It would drop, on occasion, but it would always get back up and come after me again.
[...And he's...not going to mention his reaction to that, because that was a little "yikes" for completely different reasons.]
I felt as though I recognized it; I don't recall how or why, however.
no subject
[Hopefully things that aren't telling him "also I killed an old man" because wow. He's still recovering from that.]
no subject
You really need to learn how to sell a scenario a bit better than that.
no subject
It's no fun when you see right through me, you know! I have an image to maintain and you're not helping!
no subject
[...]
If you want to spend time that badly, you can come here, I suppose. Though I can't promise you drinks, if that's what we're doing.
no subject
[...okay, that's kind of it, but it's totally just because it's better than drinking alone.]
I'll bring the drinks as long as you make sure your dogs don't maul me.
no subject
Fair enough. I don't have anything better to do tonight.
no subject
I'll be over in 20 then!
[And true to his word, it'll take him twenty minutes to put himself together and arrive at Wesker's place with entirely too much alcohol. Knock, knock!!]

[As much as he'd like to try to bullshit Wesker, it's obvious he's not getting away with it today.
The study's nice though and it's away from your helldogs even if they are enclosed elsewhere. He'll take a seat and set the bottles down with a sigh.]
Has your month been nearly as terrible as mine has?
no subject
[...It got kind of worse than "that time I murdered an invalid."]
I take it you remembered something unpleasant...?
no subject
[He doesn't really like that question and it's obvious on his face for a moment before he finally nods.]
I remembered something in the middle of a conversation on the network. It was hardly my idea of a good time.
no subject
[Because apparently some people have gotten total shitshows. He's gotten at least two total shitshows.]
no subject
[The forced cheerfulness doesn't last long, though.]

[Ugh, just let him pour himself a drink.]
no subject
[That's...]
How do you mean?
no subject
I mean that I was brought back. There was some kind of magical device that was strapped to my chest that was able to do that.
[His left hand is resting against his chest and he draws his hand away immediately once he's aware of it. It's always been a gesture of his when he's being insincere, but right now it just feels wrong.]
no subject
[He's taking it calmly enough, at any rate; he doesn't seem inclined to offer much commentary on it, but he clearly is listening.]
I'm not certain if that can be considered fortunate or not.
no subject
[He refills his glass with another sigh.]
I could have happily gone my whole life without seeing anything like that. What about you? Did you kill anyone else?
[He sounds so done.]
no subject
[...Yeah.]
no subject
[This sounds way better than his stupid memories.]
no subject
[...And he's...not going to mention his reaction to that, because that was a little "yikes" for completely different reasons.]
I felt as though I recognized it; I don't recall how or why, however.
...I think its name was Lisa.
no subject
[Jaeger sighs loudly and props his chin on his hand.]
You really aren't lucky when it comes to these things, are you?
[You've already had two terrible memories, so what's next?]
no subject
[...You know, he hasn't even told you the weird one, and he fully intends to not fucking tell you the weird one.]
no subject
Apparently. What I wouldn't give for my life to go back to normal...
no subject
More or less.
[He pauses once that's out there, however; he isn't...entirely sure he wants to offer, but at the same time- ]
Do tell me if things continue to be strange like that...?
no subject
But then the moment's over and he's smiling and waving a hand as if to dismiss it.]
Oh come now, surely I won't have anything else quite like this! It's bad, ja, but it's not something that'll keep me down for long!
[...He's really bad at this but he appreciates the offer.]
