I can't imagine growing up without my siblings, but I imagine you'd find the idea of having so many to be a bit overwhelming, ja? We certainly have had very different experiences!

We have. Granted, the orphanage involved being surrounded by people at all times - it was never anything I really liked, I found the lack of privacy grating.

But it wasn't terrible, I suppose. I was fairly accustomed to keeping my head down and not voicing my thoughts on things back then, so I imagine that helped.

Perhaps. I don't usually discuss my life with most people, either - you're one of the few exceptions to that.

I thought you had others that you were close to. I know you've explained your reasons for why you don't, but it isn't something that I'd really considered very far, I suppose.

I haven't let anyone get this close, and I don't plan on letting anyone else in like this. You're the exception; I can trust you not to stab me in the back, but I can't trust everyone else!

That gets him to go quiet rather abruptly, and it takes him a moment to realize that he's just kind of stopped walking altogether; he shakes his head as though trying to clear it, but it doesn't get him very far.]

[...He cuts himself off, however; he doesn't seem to know where he was going with that.]

...Never mind. Never mind, it's...fine. I'm... It's good that you trust me so much.

[Jaeger stops walking when Wesker does, but he doesn't try to rush him. He looks a little confused by all of that. What just happened in Wesker's head?]

Ja, of course I do. Are you sure you're all right?

[He's sure Wesker will say that he is, but it's worth checking anyway.]

[His kneejerk response is to say that everything is fine, but apparently that's the sort of thing that just makes Jaeger worry and try harder to press eventually - maybe not right this second, but it's going to come up again and it's better to just get it over with now when he has some control over how it happens - ]

...I will be. Again, my memories haven't been kind.

[...It's somewhat better than straight-out denial, at least.]

...No matter what's in your memories, I still trust you.

[Maybe that's the sort of thing he shouldn't say when he doesn't know what's been in all of Wesker's memories, but it's out there anyway and he does trust Wesker.]

The past few things I've remembered have involved treating people who decide to trust me very badly. To put it gently.

[That. That is the problem he's having right now, he'll get over it, but the past few memories he's gotten have kind of involved a lot of murder? A lot of murder.]

The circumstances are different, obviously. It's going to be fine. It just...struck me strangely, that's all.

Ja, it will be fine. I can't think of a situation where you would stab me in the back and if you ever prove me wrong on that, I'll be furious!

[It's light though, not quite teasing. He really doesn't think it'll be a concern. The other Wesker might have done things like that, but this one won't. He's sure of it.]
