You're not moving the flowers. I would prefer that they not be disturbed, given their purpose.
[...Anyway.]
The herbs can be put in what was chosen for them, however.
no subject
[They're going all over the apartment.
...or at least like. out of the room you've got them stuffed into. Why are we even worrying about plants when you seem to have a whole greenhouse hidden away, Wesker? Do you have more décor stashed away in the cupboards? Will your mysteries ever cease...]
It sounds like you're well stocked up on plants, anyway. All the more reason for us to look in another section, no?
[...he might be nodding his head towards the candle aisle. The scented candle aisle.
...come on, you know you want to smell some candles with him. It'll be fun!]
no subject
...That actually seems promising, so I can't say I'm going to fight you any.
[Candles are apparently okay. Candles are more than okay, let's go look at those even if it's going to smell weird as hell over here.]
At least I know whatever you pick out isn't going to bore me.
[like so help him god at least you won't shove, like. fucking sandalwood in his face or something.]
no subject
[He will absolutely not shove sandalwood in your face!
...although if you would like to purchase a suitably-attractive candle that happens to be sandalwood, he will not dissuade you. As it stands, he's picked up two after giving them a quick test; one creamy violet, the other a vibrant green.]
Don't you think it would be nice to add a bit of scent to your apartment? Candles also make for fantastic mood lighting! [yes, that included a suitably over-the-top wink.] Now, what kind would you prefer? This purple one is lavender, which is known for its calming abilities! This green one, however, is coconut and lime - very fruity and intense, even though I don't know what either of them are!
What do you think? Gentle scent or strong scent?
no subject
That said, let him check the...things...that you are putting in his face, good lord that's- ]
I prefer the intense things, I think. I know candles are usually for either relaxation or being obnoxiously dramatic, but I'm assuming I'm not going to be some sort of Victorian vampire and I'll be using them for neither.
no subject
Oh, intense, is it? Exciting! We're getting the green one then.
[Into the basket it goes! Sycamore will neatly put the lavender candle back on the shelf, before picking up a creamy white one with a....cupcake on the label?]
Oh, I'm definitely getting this.
[...into the basket it goes. No questions, please.
Now!]
So if it's intense scents you're after....ah!
[The next one he selects is bright orange, and he (somewhat gleefully) holds it up for Wesker to investigate.]
What about cinnamon?
no subject
again]
Really not doing anything halfway, are we.
[He seems amused, though; he'll take the cinnamon, consider it for a moment.
...Puts it in the damn basket because why not.]
no subject
(The temptation to clap his hands excitedly was definitely there, but...well, the basket. No sense in dropping all their new candles!)]
Of course not! I am not known for my subtly, mon ami. But that's just part of my charm.
[Now, you've got two candles, and all good things come in threes, so! Let's pick one more. We've got Coconut and Lime, Cinnamon....and....oh. Oh. Oh this one is parfait-]
Here. This can round out your little trilogy.
[The candle he's chosen is pitch black, as is the label; the text on it, in holographic purple letters reads 'Black Cherry'.]

You're either teasing me or being remarkably thoughtful, and I find it difficult to tell which it is, although I suspect it's both. Well done, either way.
no subject
[The compliment won't do anything to stop him beaming at you, you know...]
Now that that's sorted, were there any more sections you wanted to look at?
no subject
no subject
[Yes, yes, he will let you drag him from this store (once all their purchases are paid for)! They have a lot of bags, and Sycamore is...satisfied. A successful trip, indeed!]
See! That wasn't so hard, was it?
no subject
[He's keeping it from sounding too petulant, at least.]
It's just never been something I've given much thought to; it's still strange to me, the idea of staying somewhere with any sort of permanence. Though I suppose we don't know how long we'll be here, do we.
no subject
We do not! All the more reason to make sure the living space is comfortable, no? Or at least visually appealing. As soon as we get back to your apartment, we need to light one of these candles. Your choice!
[And there's only three to choose from! You'll be fine.]
That, and we need to put some of those herbs of yours around the place!
no subject
[Lord.]
I haven't done much with the place since you were there last, so you'll have more or less a blank canvas. I'm not sure if you'll find that good to know or disappointing, as I can see it being both.
no subject
[...we're gunna have such a good time in this apartment of yours, Wesker.
...]
...you have had fun today, no?
no subject
[...What...does he do with that, though.]
Do I often seem as though I haven't?
no subject
I know I'm the opposite end of the spectrum, so perhaps that's where this is coming from, but...you're always so calm, I never know whether or not I'm pleasing you.
[....although, to be fair...]
I'm getting better at reading you, though! I'm glad you enjoyed today; I had a lot of fun myself.
no subject
The polite ones usually called me stoic, and if that's if they were being extremely so. So don't worry, I'm aware.
I did have a good time, however. I suppose I could get used to this sort of thing once in a while.
no subject
I'm glad! I did promise to make sure you were getting out and about more, after all. I think I've done quite well so far!
[What with the shopping, and the drinking, etc....]
