[how was he supposed to resist... it's gentle though, of course.]

[That seems to settle him a bit, anyway.]

[It gets a quiet laugh out of him.]

[He'll go quiet, once that's out there; he isn't altogether sure what to say beyond this, he's just...

His grip on Jaeger's hand is going rather tight, however; not enough to hurt, but definitely enough to be felt.]

[He'll return it, don't worry. He'll also move a little closer, not to touch any further, but just to be here. He knows it isn't easy, but he's not going anywhere and he's right here if you need him. He'll even remain quiet for once in his life! It's a miracle.]

...I don't really know what I'm doing here.

[That's likewise quiet, but again, it's genuine.]

I don't know if I'm supposed to do anything at all, or if I am, if it's something in particular; I just know I don't really want to leave.

To be honest, I don't really know what people usually do here... I think it depends on the person, and what you think you need to do. Just spending time here might be good - it's always been important to you to spend time with the people you care about, ja?

[That...had not occurred to him before, from the look of it?]

I...suppose that makes sense, yes.

[It's okay, having someone else to look at it from a different angle certainly helps!]

Of course. I think it's good that you want to continue doing this. Even if you don't really know what to do, I think it's good to spend time like this.

[That seems to have settled him a good amount, honestly.]

[It's good of you to do this, and he thinks your father would appreciate it. It's not really his place to say something like that, though. For now he'll fall silent again, squeezing Wesker's hand a bit reassuringly.]

[The silence is more comfortable this time; he doesn't usually feel like he has to fill it, but something about this had felt odd to him before, something he can't really pinpoint. This is good, however, and he seems to be relaxing a bit the longer they stay here.

It's starting to get cold, the seasons finally seeming to turn quite a bit; he'll be okay out here for a bit longer, but he is starting to feel it.]

[It's good that Wesker is relaxing a bit, he's pleased to see it. It is getting cold, though, and he's doing his best to remain both quiet and still while not shivering. It's a bit difficult for many reasons, but it's very important that Wesker spends as much time as he wants to here, so he won't complain. He really is perfectly fine being here with Wesker, so take all the time you need.]

[He'll notice after a while that Jaeger's seeming a bit cold, though he really is putting a valiant effort in; he'll shift a bit, letting go of Jaeger's hand in favor of wrapping his arm around Jaeger's waist, pulling him closer against him.]

Again, thank you for coming out here with me.

[Oh, that's much better! He'll settle in easily, even though Wesker isn't exactly the most comfortable person, this is nice and warm and he is always here for physical affection.]

You don't have to thank me. I wanted to come along with you! Your father really was an incredible man.

I'm really happy he did! I was a little worried...

[He knows he's the world's most annoying man, okay...]

Not many things made me happy when he was alive. It was good for him to know that I have you now, I think.

I'm really glad I can make you so happy, and I'm pleased he could see it. I'll always be here for you, and I'll always do what I can to make sure you're happy.

I spent a long time apologizing to him, even though he told me I didn't need to.

I think I can understand that. We've changed a lot, ja? Looking back on how things were and how we were... well, I think it's natural for us to want to apologize for some of our past behavior.

Is there anything in particular that's been bothering you about it?

...I understand everything he did and everything he gave up for me now, much more than I did back then. It's self-centered and likely at least somewhat terrible, but...seeing my past life and everything that happened to him made me appreciate it far more.
