If there's ever anything you're interested in trying out, let me know, ja? I've always found it fun to have several different hobbies!
[Admittedly he goes through phases where he's really into something for awhile before he drops it entirely for something new, but it's always fun to discover something you really like.]
Do you remember any others?
[He tips his head a bit to indicate the piano. Don't think he's letting you escape just yet.]
However, it isn't long beyond that where you can likely hear something - it's not very loud, just something on the edge of your senses coming from somewhere across the room, the sort of prolonged drawing of a bow across strings that comes with someone trying to tune the violin they're working with.
It isn't as loud as it should be, but it's there, and it gets Wesker to stop playing for the time being; no one's touched the violin case on the piano, both Wesker and Jaeger would have seen and heard it if someone had, but just the same Cumore's sitting on one of the couches pushed back against the wall, instrument propped against his shoulder while he tunes it.
He looks like he did before he was put on the network, brown eyes and black hair and almost too thin to be real, and he seems rather intense as he works, seemingly oblivious to anything Wesker and Jaeger are doing with the piano.]
[He would have responded to Wesker's statement, but Cumore appears before them and Jaeger tenses immediately. He watches for awhile, like he's trying to take everything in before he moves to stand. Cumore really did look very different before Retrospec, huh...
Jaeger circles around the bench, but stops on Wesker's other side, glancing at his boyfriend for a moment and reaching out to gently squeeze his shoulder in a gesture that's probably supposed to get "I'll be right back" across. He'll move to approach Cumore then, though he doesn't expect his friend to notice him.]
I figured the violin was yours, I just didn't realize you were this fond of it. It's better than finding you at the bar though, ja? I doubt you'd appreciate that.
[He doesn't expect a response, but he's never been good at remaining silent.]
That said, Cumore doesn't respond verbally, though his expression shifts into something that seems almost amused, his gaze flicking up to acknowledge Jaeger briefly before he goes back to what he was doing. It seems he's at least somewhat aware of what you're saying, Jaeger, even if he won't (or can't) respond to it.
It seems he's wearing something around his neck, bearing something that looks like a computer chip of some sort on it; it doesn't seem to be bothering or hindering him any.]
[A computer chip...? That's interesting. He's not going to reach out to try to grab it or anything, mostly because he's kind of afraid his hand will pass right through Cumore and that's. really awkward. Instead he'll watch it for a moment, just to see if there's anything off about it or if it's just something Cumore's decided to wear for... some reason. He can ask Wesker is Silver was wearing one in a moment.]
...It's good to see you again, even if it's a little hard to talk like this. I hope you're doing okay! You seem to be having a good time.
[The expression he gives Jaeger then is a little...incomprehending of the question of whether he's doing okay or not; he's still smirking a bit, as he does, though it's vague. He'll run the now over the strings again, one at a time in rapid succession, before he deems himself satisfied and lowers the instrument to look at Jaeger properly.
He offers a bit of a shrug, maybe; he's doing well enough, probably.]
[There are plenty of questions he wants to ask: where is Cumore, what is going on right now? Are the other people who are missing there with him? But he's honestly not sure Cumore is experiencing anything weird right now, because he's no longer on Retrospec, and the people who aren't on the network never seem aware that anything's off. Even if he did want to ask Cumore any of these questions, Cumore wouldn't be able to answer in a satisfying way.
So for now he just lets that go, and he focuses on how good it is to see Cumore, even if it probably won't last for long.]
I hope I'll get a chance to spend time with you properly in a little while. We've got a lot of catching up to do, ja?
[Or maybe it just feels that way because Cumore's memories have been altered now that he's off the network.]
[A bit of an odd look at that, perhaps; do we? It kind of takes him a while to work his way through it; it's been a couple of months, right, perhaps they have more to discuss than he thinks they do...
When he nods eventually it's a bit more decisive; he'll be looking forward to it, all right.]
Good, I'm sure it'll be fun! I'll be looking forward to it. I'll be sure to contact you once... things have settled down. You know how it is, I'm always incredibly busy!
[It's because of Retrospec breaking the world, but you know what, Cumore might not be aware of that so it's easier just to act like that's the problem.]
[He seems to smile a bit at that, tipping his head a little; he doesn't mind, okay.
...That said, Wesker has been keeping an eye on Jaeger as he interacts with Cumore; he can imagine it's likely difficult for him - it hadn't been easy when it had been Silver - but at least he seems to be keeping himself together well enough. He'll address him when he returns.]
[Sounds good to him!! He'll carefully avoid the glitchy cat and follow Wesker out. He's very quiet the entire way for once and his grip remains tight. He'll eventually let go once we reach the car and take his seat.]
...For one thing, I imagine it's difficult when you can't interact with him properly or know how much he really understands about what's happening. It's hard to say whether he's actually all right or just thinks he is.

[He'll kind of stare at the keys for a moment before, uh. Well, it's an awkward one-handed rendition of the Tetris theme? Hell if he knows.]
no subject
Did you learn that one or are you figuring it out as you go?
no subject
[So he taught himself, probably.

[It's gentle teasing for once.]
It's been nice seeing you again, but I'll let you get back to your violin. Thanks for humoring me!

Are you all right...?
no subject
[Is he all right? He feels sort of jittery, though he's not sure if he's anxious or just worked up.]
I think I'm okay.
[It sounds sort of unsure, but he doesn't seem to be doing badly.]
I... think I want to go home, though.

It's a bit overwhelming, isn't it.
[It's not exactly a question.]

You'll be able to spend time with him again once this is over.

Talk to me...?
no subject
[Honestly, he's not really sure what to say for once.]
It really was good to see him again and it seems like he understood what I was saying, but... I don't know. I feel numb? I'm not sure why.
