It doesn't take emotional damage anymore, from the sound of it, and it doesn't hurt at all to be apart from it. If you want to keep it with you, I trust you with it entirely.

[His is in the nightstand on his side of the bed, he'll retrieve it quickly enough. Unlike Wesker's, it's fully intact without any cracks or signs of wear. It's red, the exact same shade of bright red as the blastia. Jaeger hands it over easily.]

Here you are. I don't particularly have any use for it, so if you want to hold onto it, I don't mind.

[He'll take it carefully, just...holding onto it for a while; this is...it's strange, but he can't say he doesn't like it any. It's...nice.]

[This is... There's something about it that's leaving him feeling breathless and almost shy; when he averts his gaze, it has nothing to do with trying to hide his eyes this time.]

Ah, you don't have to thank me. Really, I should be thanking you. I didn't realize how important this would be to me.

[But it is, it's incredibly important. It's one of the most precious gifts he's ever been given.]

Mine has been holding up surprisingly well, despite the damage; it survived Magatus like that. So it's fairly resilient. I know it will be fine with you, regardless.

[He's looking at the heart stone instead of Wesker, but he looks immensely pleased. It's more subdued than usual, and he still looks a little shy about the whole thing, but this really has pleased him.]

[He'll reach out then, letting his fingers run gently through Jaeger's hair; he's content to remain quiet for a moment, really - this entire thing feels strangely intimate, and it's unfamiliar but it's good, striking him fairly hard in a way that things usually don't mowadays.]

[That'll get him to look up and he'll lean into the hair-playing immediately. It gets him to laugh after a moment, though the sound's quiet and sort of nervous, of all things. He'll settle easily enough, though.]
