[He's at least proven that he isn't the sort to give up easily, and Cumore's clearly not getting rid of him any time soon, even if he isn't on Retrospec anymore.
He'll fall silent after that, but after a moment he'll reach out for Wesker's hand.]
I think so. I just... I don't like that they're gone and we don't know when - or if - they'll return. Usually when Retrospec breaks things it only lasts for the month, but assuming that everything's going to be fine just doesn't sit right with me.
...We'll make sure you can see him, Jaeger. You can interact with him a little while he's here, though he won't be able to speak to you. Sometimes their presence can draw creatures of some sort that try to attack them. They can be destroyed, however, just be careful.
But we'll make sure you can talk to him for a little while, at least.
[To his credit, Wesker will avoid asking "but why" with regards to socializing, though he really really wants to ask why.
The cat is still wandering after them, still...kind of bugging out once in a while but not too badly; Wesker's helldogs are going to hate him for it, but eventually he'll kind of kneel down while Jaeger is checking out the bar and let the cat sniff his hand a bit. She seems nice enough, in all her pixelated glory.]
Or working, I imagine it would be difficult to explain why we're at the District Attorney's offices...
[...Anyway. There is that massive room in the back where the dancing happens; he's got a piano and a violin case in here as well, so at least there's that.]
[Oh, he really does like this room! The violin case is interesting, but he's not going to touch it because it's probably very expensive and easily breakable, but the piano is totally fine!! He'll sit on the bench and study the keys for a moment before picking a few at random to press. He doesn't really get any sort of melody out of them or anything, but he's absolutely amusing himself.]
Did you ever learn to play any instruments, Albert? I took piano lessons as a child, but I never really got the hang of it.
[So of course he gave up on it.]
I always did wish I'd stuck with it and learned how to play, though.
Because there isn't a single person in Resident Evil that can't at least kind of pick their way through the opening of Moonlight Sonata, he'll start there; it's slow, and it's not exactly the greatest, but at least you can sort of identify what he's trying to do.]
My father tried several things to see if they would hold my interest. Music, sports, tactile puzzles, chemistry... He was looking for something that I would take up as a hobby, I believe, except nothing really stuck; I would do things because he wanted me to, and stop when I was no longer required to do them.
Not particularly. I've always been a bit directionless with regards to things like that, admittedly.
[And that is about the extent of his Moonlight Sonata abilities, awkward and bad though they were; he'll set his hands in his lap after that, not seeming inclined to play anything else without prompting.]
If there's ever anything you're interested in trying out, let me know, ja? I've always found it fun to have several different hobbies!
[Admittedly he goes through phases where he's really into something for awhile before he drops it entirely for something new, but it's always fun to discover something you really like.]
Do you remember any others?
[He tips his head a bit to indicate the piano. Don't think he's letting you escape just yet.]
