Oh, don't worry about that! It's proof that you made it through all that, ja? Things were very difficult, but you always manage to find a way. It's a good reminder of that, I think.

While I'm not opposed to doing this more traditionally eventually, I imagine that those serve the purpose even more than engagement rings would, at least for the time being.

Well, you seemed convinced that I would say no, so I can't exactly fault you for it...

I do want to discuss that in greater detail at some point in the future - why you thought that, and where my concerns actually are. Because there are aspects of it that concern me.

At the same time, I'm content to just enjoy this for now, and there isn't any rush.
