Wanting or needing to say something, but it's almost as though there's something in your chest physically preventing you from doing it. It's not a matter of being contrary and refusing to force it, or not wanting it enough; it's simply something that can't be said. I know that sort of feeling well.

[And that's quiet, too; it's something he's said before, though he doesn't ever go into any sort of detail like that. But it feels important now, and he continues to play with Jaeger's hair gently, and his voice stays even as he speaks; it's a little blunted, but not overwhelmingly so.]

It's why I've never tried forcing the issue, or trying to make you say anything. It does seem to be getting easier for you to approach it, and that's been a good thing, I believe.

If you want me to do anything for you, I can. But I'm not opposed to being patient, either.
