Exciting 'past Shuji had problems' update: I now am in possession of a 13 foot long letter past me wrote to his teacher begging for a literary prize. How was your day?
[Jaeger is not a man who admits defeat easily, but eventually he will give in when he realizes that there's no chance of victory. That's the case this evening, and he'll be waiting for Wesker in the study as usual. Like always, he's messing around on his phone though he doesn't look quite as chipper as usual today. He doesn't really want to do this, but with Christmas just around the corner, it's not like he has much of a choice...]
[...Jaeger, he means this in the best possible way, but speaking as someone who decorated the house like...this and whose past life liked to scream about COMPLETE GLOBAL SATURATION apparently, has anyone ever told you that you're a little melodramatic sometimes...
That said, though, Wesker has been less of a weirdly asocial person lately; he returned slightly late from work today, granted, though not by much - more the result of receiving tickets from Retrospec, going on lunch break to verify that they were accurate in their description and being rather appalled to find that they absolutely were, and deciding that he wanted nothing to do with those remaining in his car all day and returning for them later, after hours.
But for now those are in his room, and they're weird but they could be worse, and he'll join Jaeger in the study readily enough, without needing to be called down by way of text, even. ...And Jaeger looks like he's in something of a mood, lovely.]
[It's good to know that it's nothing bad, at any rate; he'll come in and join Jaeger properly, then, sitting down nearby as he usually does and just sort of...waiting? Go on.
[That's alright, it's not like he's good at this either.]
After a good deal of consideration, I finally have to admit that I won't be able to find you a Christmas present. It's certainly not for lack of trying, but I haven't found anything that I believe would be fitting, and I think it's best to tell you that upfront.
[So. There we go. He looks sort of disappointed, but not too upset.]
